Title: Strega Nona

Author: Tomie dePaola

Publisher: Simon & Shuster Books for Young Readers

ISBN: 0-6671-66283-X

Strega Nona is the story of an old women with magical powers who take's in a man named Big Anthony as a helper. Anthony sees Nona using a magical pot to create pasta. He then uses the pot himself but not knowing how to stop it creates a huge mess in the town that he and Strega Nona have to take care of. So basically it's a little masterpiece. gorgeous visual elements and a fun little story just make this story so perfect at being what it's trying to be. I can't really think of much to say it really just feels perfect.

  2. Strega Nona is a great series by Tomie de Paola. I love how Big Anthony is always getting into trouble but Strega Nona is always incredibly patient with him. The artistic style de Paola uses is consistent throughout his works, which makes it that more recognizable.
