Pancakes for Breakfast is the goofy story of an old woman preparing pancakes. As she gets to the each ingredient she finds that has run out and must go milk the cow or churn the butter what have you so that she may proceed in making her pancakes. The book ends with her cat and dog making a mess ruining her ingredients so she just goes to her neighbors house for breakfast.
All in all seams like a perfect of example of a wordless picture book. Certainly not something I'd be drawn to myself at a young age but now I can appropriate the fine craftsmanship of the book. Its artwork is great full of color and fine illustrations, and the narrative is goofy and fun and you could argue even has a life lesson. Sometimes all your hard-work is for not but others are always there to help you on hard times... or something like that.
